Home again!

Eating my first aeroroot (sp?) cookie! Yum!

Watching Hunter run around in the back yard, while "helping" me get laundry off the line. It's more fun to take things out of the basket, mom!

On our walk yesterday, it was VERY hot. On our way back, we were right into the hot sun, so I covered the front of the stroller with a blanket thinking she'd be safe. This is what I found when I checked. She sure is nosey! She held the blanket like this so she could see the whole way home.

Griffin kids

Here's Paige, happy as you please.
Someone was VERY happy to see her Daddy again! I was happy to see her Daddy again, too!
Here she is, picking lice out of his hair like a monkey!

Sethers, unsmiling. But who's surprised? :) He's got lots of "bracelets" on. Very "pretty"? No, I won't say that, Shane.

Seth keeping Katja occupied. He was a very good entertainer!

Parcel Packing in Portage

We went to help (in Portage la Prairie, MB) pack boxes the Friday night I got home from Ontario. We've always wanted to get there for this "leg of the (boxes) trip", and this is our first time getting there. For those who don't know, these boxes are being sent to Missionaries in Zambia.

Working hard, or hardly workin? I can attest to the fact that they were working hard. Six "small" boxes are packing into these larger boxes, then marked with where they're going and how much they weigh.

Boxes stacked in rows to show who they're being sent to. Then they need to get packed into the bigger boxes, below.

As you can see, the weights are very different, depending who they're going to. Some boxes of 6 are only just over 150lbs, while others were well over 400lbs. Groceries for Sakeji make their boxes VERY heavy!

Here's a row of big boxes, that are ready to be loaded on the container. WE didn't do that, as they were still waiting for more groceries and more boxes from other places. There were enough in the warehouse this time to load 1 and 1/2 containers. That's a lot of boxes!

Gracia

Uncle Jeff teasing Katja - and her enjoying it very much.

Here's Gracia. She's wide eyed and bushy tailed this evening!

Two little cuties peeking over my shoulders.

Mr Jared, sir.

My girl

Photo op. in the backyard at Dad and Mom's. Sitting beside some Daffodils, since we don't see them too often out west.

Katja was wailing because she didn't like sitting on the cool, mossy ground. This picture turned out ok though, as she turned her head to the side and it looks like she's enjoying the flowers... she's not.

Down the slide at Mr. Jared's house!

Naked as a J-bird...except for the little white socks.

Pics from Ontario

As only cousins can do... this was TRYING to get a picture of them together. I thought this one was the funniest. We never were successful, and didn't get one of all 5 grandkids either. Next time...

Met Margo and Thalia at McD's in London for a brief visit. Thalia snoozed the whole time, so I'll have to get in another visit next time.

Katja enjoying the green grass at Steph and Tim's house in St. Thomas. This was taken about 20 seconds before Shaelyn came over and snatched her hat off her head!

BBQ Burgers in the backyard on a beautiful day... what more can you ask for? Beside my husband, that is!

Spring in Sask.

Trying out her first taste of grass - I'm sure it won't be the last!

At the last picnic we had, Katja was happy to sit and watch Daddy chop wood.

Thankfully, this did not visit our picnic site, but we saw him up a tree when we went for a "hike" after supper. A porcupine, if you don't recognize it.

All dressed up in her Sunday best. This was Naomi's dress, made out of our bridesmaid material, and worn at the reception in Sept. 02. Here Katja is wearing it. A little short, but still looks cute!
